Stephanie Dawn Boyd

Stephanie was born in Huntsville, Alabama on June 19, 1987 to parents John T. and Debbie. She came into the world with an older brother and sister, Brandon and Kathryn. Steph was later blessed with a loving step-father, Lee (Pop) and two step-sisters, Leah and Jen, as well as a little brother, Travis.

As soon as Steph learned to walk everyone knew she was a born athlete. She tried every sport there was, and excelled at all of them. As she grew older, she had to make a decision to focus on one sport. Because her love for soccer excelled over all the others, that was the sport she chose. She played on many club teams, as well as the high school soccer team where she set the record for all-time scorer during her time at Huntsville High. Her soccer claim to fame was not an easy journey for her though, as she endured many injuries, which involved hip and knee surgeries. Through all of this pain, she kept a positive attitude.

A month after her 18th birthday, she was in a car accident that took her life. It is amazing to think of what someone can accomplish in a short 18 years, but Steph did it. She made lasting friendships, became a sports star, and was the best daughter, sister, granddaughter anyone could ask for. Her close relationship with God was evident through her attitude and actions, and this has led many people to come to know God. The image of her constant giddy smile and dimples are what keep us going. We miss her dearly and cannot wait until the day we can see and embrace her again.
